Julieta García Reyes 

is a lyric soprano, NCVS-trained Vocologist, and vocal educator originally from Jacona, Michoacán, México. She holds a B.M. from the University of Colorado Boulder (2019) and an M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from UT San Antonio (2021), where she was named Outstanding Graduate Student. Her background bridges performance, research, and leadership, with operatic roles like La Contessa (The Marriage of Figaro) and Rosario (Goyescas), research positions at CU Boulder and UTSA, and her current work as Children’s and Youth Choir Director at First Congregational Church of Boulder. She also serves as a board member and Mexican Liaison for The Canciones Project and has presented research on adaptive singing at national conferences like NATS and The Voice Foundation. Teaching since 2013, Julieta works with singers of all ages and styles using a warm, science-informed approach centered on vocal health, resonance, and authentic expression. Her teaching is backed by specialized training through the NATS Science Informed Pedagogy Institute and Coastal Carolina University’s Group-Voice Pedagogy Institute, along with experience in public school districts like Alamo Heights ISD (San Antonio, TX.) Her students regularly win regional and national competitions and earn spots in top music programs nationwide. Whether you are stepping into the studio for the first time or preparing for professional auditions, Julieta warmly welcomes singers of all levels to grow, explore, and find joy in their own voices.
