With a BA in Music and Vocal Performance, a Master’s in Music and Opera Performance from New England Conservatory in Boston, and Opera Study at Juilliard in NYC under the Bel Canto Wizard Edward Zambara, Directors James Robinson, Colin Graham and John Moriarity, Connie embraces all things Music with passion and academic prowess. Connie’s most noted performance roles are “Susanna” in Le Nozze Di Figaro, “Anne Truelove” in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, “Juliet” in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, “Blanche” in Poulenc’s The Dialogues Of The Carmelites, “Maria” in Bernstein’s West Side Story and “Christine” in Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Favorite Houses Connie’s performed in include The Roundabout NYC, The Majestic, NYC, New York City Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Lyric Opera St. Louis, LA Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Palais Garnier/Paris Opera, Spoleto, Italia, Teatro di San Carlo, Naples, Italia, Banff Festival, Canada, and Tanglewood in the lovely Berkshires, MA, where Connie grew up and studied as a fellow with Phyllis Curtin, and Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa and Stephen Lord as Conductors. Connie’s Technical approach to singing stems from The Italian Technique of 5 pure vowel singing, 10 total vowel singing, and the concentration of clean and even timbre through the Passaggio (the transition areas between vocal registers). \

Connie incorporates new, exciting techniques from teachers, mentors, and colleagues that invigorate and encourage open, natural singing with personalized visualization: Diaphragmatic breathing techniques, head-chest versatility, vocalises, pitch and theory work, body awareness techniques, and vocal mental health, anti-anxiety exercises. Picking repertoire that individually connects emotionally and technically is paramount. A student who feels the music, and sings & plays from the heart is everything for Connie. The goal is for students to be the absolute best they can be technically, musically and emotionally, keep besting that best, and have a blast doing it. In Boston, Connecticut, NYC, San Francisco, Cincinnati and now Boulder, Connie continues to run her Private Voice Studio for advanced students in Opera, MT, Singer/Songwriters, and Jazz/Pop/Rock. She continues to compose Musical Theatre and is work-shopping her musical No Place Like Home next summer in NYC. She has created Musical Theatre Programs in Boston and Connecticut and Directed numerous shows for Magical Music for Life, a non-profit Musical Theatre Program that brings original Music and Musicals to all who don’t have access to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre. Connie has a passion for teaching all kids from all walks of life. She has worked with many organizations such as Kids4ACause, Kids4Kids, Autism Speaks, Children’s Cancer Foundations, National Hospice, and under-funded inner-city public schools around the country. Connie is deeply passionate about bringing the might of music to the masses. Most recently, Connie started the Musical Theatre Program at SHJ in Boulder, and will do a full scale, fully adapted production for them again this Spring. Connie loves teaching, coaching, directing, collaborating, creating, learning, growing, and watching all her students best their bests.
