Brittany has been part of the Boulder Music family since it's inception!
Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance CU Denver. During her time at school, Brittany has been a guest singer at faculty concerts and has performed in the musical theater, 9th Street Singers and pop/rock ensembles. Brittany has studied Vocal Pedagogy with Dr. Sarah Davis, and Music Theory with Greg Garrison from Leftover Salmon. Along with voice, Brittany has studied piano with Peter John Stoltzman and is currently studying guitar with local jazz musician, Drew Morell.
Throughout her life, Brittany has been part of many choirs and theater productions. She has performed as Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ and Coco in Fame and has been cast in productions like Aida, Beauty and the Beast, The Music Man, Oliver and many more. Brittany has also sung with local Denver bands Fluorescent Phobia, The Tide Pools and Vance Romance. She has performed two years in a row at the UMS music festival as well as the Root 40 music festival in Denver.
Brittany is also trained on how to use recording programs such as garage band, protools and logic and knows the basics for sound engineering in a recording studio.
Brittany believes that every student is an individual and that every voice is unique and special. As a teacher Brittany focuses on healthy technique as well as developing a sound that is genuine to each student. Brittany finds that students benefit most from a well-rounded education and incorporates elements of songwriting, music theory, rhythm and ear-training into each lesson. She also teaches her students the basics on the piano and/or guitar. As a teacher, Brittany also believes that exposing a student to multiple genres helps cultivate a student’s full potential as a singer and musician.
